Abstract
Lead hydroxide is precipitated by adding alkalies, ammonia, calcium hydrate, or the like to a chloride solution containing lead which may be prepared from lead ores or tailings by treatment with brine and calcium chloride at 70-80 DEG C. and filtering off the calcium sulphate. The lead hydroxide is separated and dried at 80-102 DEG C. It may be ground with oil for use as a pigment.
