Abstract

200,673. Hadwen, H. E., and Willis, H. June 19, 1922. Clips, band.-In anti-vibration supports for lamps, a pair of clips A are provided connected by a spring F and adapted to grip the flexible electric lead or gas pipe B supporting the lamp, the clips being normally retained in the gripping position by the hooked ends E of the spring which are so shaped that, when turned in relation to the clips, the lead or gas pipe is released to permit adjustment of the height of the lamp. Each clip comprises a metal band terminating in lugs C which are perforated eccentrically to permit insertion of the hooked end of the spring in the position shown in Fig. 6, the hook being sufficiently narrow that, when turned into the normal position, the clip is caused to grip the lead &c. as shown in Fig. 8. When used in connection with unarmoured leads, india-rubber or other insulating sleeves are interposed between the clips and the lead.
