Abstract
655,947. Spring clips. GARRETT ENGINEERING WORKS, Ltd., R., WILMOT, H., and BAMBROUGH, A. Sept. 17, 1947, No. 25398. [Class 44] '[Also in Groups XI and XXXVI] A clip or bracket for supporting a rodlike element comprises a length of strip metal which is adapted to be supported at one end 9 and has its other end 4 formed to receive the element. A resilient tongue 7 is sprung from its normal position as the element is inserted in the clip and the tongue springs up behind the element which is thus positively retained in place. The end 4 of the clip is preferably curved over through more than two right angles of arc and the tongue 7 may be pressed out of the clip or separately formed and mounted thereon.
