Abstract

Tube blanks are formed by expansion of cylindrical blanks 11' using a tool assembly 31. Each tube body is provided with neck and shoulder sections of different conical angles, the section at the neck end 13 having a greater cone angle than the shoulder section 18 to enable easy storage by inserting the neck end of one tube-blank with a cap 14 thereon through an open end of the tube body 16 of another blank. The tool assembly includes a mandrel 32 which receives a blank 11' and is insertable into sections 36-38. One of the sections 37 is readily exchangeable according to the conicity required in the tube-blank body. <IMAGE>
