Electric clocks; striking-mechanism. - The striking-wheel 31 is formed with seventy-eight. conductor teeth 32 arranged in groups from one to twelve, and twelve non-conductor teeth 33 arranged to break the circuit at each hour. A pin 39 is provided on the hour-wheel 7 to rotate the wheel 31 one tooth during each hour, so as to move the first conducting tooth of the next group under the detent 40. At each hour a snail cam 34 en the minute-wheel 5 allows a lever 36 to drop into contact with a stud 38 and complete the circuit of the striking-magnet 44. As each stroke is made, the detent 40 on the hammer 42 moves the wheel 31 one tooth until the next non-conductor tooth breaks the circuit.
