Abstract

A reversible semi-mounted or trailed plough comprises a plough frame 8 rotatably mounted on a supporting shaft 7 which is connected by a pin 6 to an intermediate piece 4 so as to be pivotable in the horizontal plane, the intermediate piece being connected by a pin 3 to the coupling frame 1 so as to be also pivotable in the horizontal plane. The angle between the supporting shaft 7 and the coupling frame 1 is changed by means of a hydraulic ram 14 or other device, causing the plough frame 8 to be rotated through the desired 180 DEG by means of an interposed swivel gearing 5, 10. The invention provides a push and pull member 17 mounted on the coupling frame 1 by means of pins 18, or guided by a rod, so as to be swingable in the vertical longitudinal plane, and connected by a pin 19 to the plough frame 8, the horizontal lateral pivoting of the intermediate piece 4 being made possible by the provision for a change in the effective length of the push and pull member 17 or the intermediate piece 4 or the plough frame 8. The push and pull member 17 may also be a hydraulic piston/cylinder unit which eliminates the ram 14 and the slot 4b in the intermediate piece 4. Alternatively, a rigid member 17 is coupled by means of a slot or a ram with the plough frame 8, or can slide through a fore carriage if provided. <IMAGE>
