Elastic-grip joints.-A flexible connection for gas and other fittings comprises a tubular member of rubber or other expansible material, provided at both ends with an annular flange b to retain in position a closely coiled spring c of steel or other wire with its ends free, which, while permitting the connections to expand when fitted over a nipple or the like, prevents it from splitting.
