Abstract

198,995. Renault, L. June 12, 1922, [Convention date]. Testing motor vehicles.-The apparatus comprises two hollow drums 1, 1<1> of definite, weight which receive and are driven by the driving wheels 2 of the chassis the two drums driving a shaft 8 on which is mounted a dynamometer. The tangential effort at the rim of the driving wheels is measured by the horizontal displacement of the axis of the driving wheels relatively to the axis of the drams. The .drums slide axially to allow. of the wheels 2 being inserted and removed.
