Abstract
408,377. Vehicle wheels. BUDD MANUFACTURING CO., E. G., 2500, Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Ledwinka, J. ; 2500, Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia, U.S.A.) Nov. 18, 1932, No. 32699. Convention date, Dec. 15, 1931. [Class 144 (i).] A wheel, particularly for use on light railway vehicles, comprises an outer tyre 16 spaced from the wheel-rim 13 by a rubber cushion 15 which is axially elongated in assemblage to provide the necessary frictional hold on the tyre and rim. The rubber sleeve may be vulcanized to the tyre or rim prior to the axial elongation and complete assemblage. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 5830/04, [Class 144].
