Vehicle lamps.-An anti-dazzle head or other light for vehicles comprises a reflector formed of two half paraboloids AB, CD, the lower half CD being arranged forward of the upper half AB so that their foci s', S respectively are situated at a distance from one another on a common horizontal axis ZZ, and a source of light arranged so that its two extremities coincide with the two foci. The reflector may be provided with a screwed socket E in which is screwed a holder F carrying an electric lamp G, preferably provided with an opaque cap R, a lock-nut H being provided to hold the lamp in adjusted position. The two half-paraboloids may be connected together by a bridge-piece K, situated in a horizontal plane and having a non-reflecting surface, which may be slightly oblique or curved. The lamp filament may be in the form of a straight line, spiral, oval or other shape, provided that it is situated within a space above the horizontal plane through the axis ZZ bounded by that plane and the surfaces generated by lines SS<2>B, S<2>S<1>D passing through the foci and the rims of the respective half-paraboloids, as shown in section SS<1>S<2>, Fig. 4. The two half-paraboloids may be adjusted relatively to one another so as to alter the distance between the two foci. The reflector may be protected with a plain glass or lens in one or more parts, and when the lamp G projects beyond the plane BD, Fig. 1, the half-paraboloids are provided with extensions BL, DM, parallel to the axis ZZ and having non-reflecting inner surfaces, to accommodate the front glass, flanges LO, MN being provided to facilitate the joining together of the two half-paraboloids.
