Signs ; letters, numerals, and the like. -A sign comprises glass letters or other representations with parts c which penetrate an opaque partition a and are illuminated from the back of the partition, so that the whole of the letter &c. appears luminous. The ends c are provided with an opaque coating, and the letters may be of circular, polygonal, or other cross-section, solid or hollow, coloured, opalescent, painted, or silvered.
