Reeling - machines; stop - apparatus, non- automatic. - In apparatus for braking the swifts of a reeling-machine, of the kind described in Specification 127,443, a footboard K is depressed and a shore-lever 7 thereby released from the position shown in Fig. 1. Under the action of a spring 8, the lever 7 assumes an inclined position, Fig. 2, and a lever C rises under the action of a spring E and causes the brake-pad G to grip the pulley H. The pulley H is released and the mechanism re-set by pulling down the handle-horns 1, which are spaced along a bar 2 attached to the bobbin-hopper L.
