Abstract
196.295. Ges. f³r Drahtlose Telegraphie. April 13, 1922, [Convention datel. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Thermionic modulating systems. - The grid circuit of a valve generator A or a power amplifier has two parallel branches, one of which includes a condenser D and the coupling coil for maintaining the oscillations, the other branch permitting the passage of direct current and including a high-frequency choke E. The latter branch may be completed by a signalling-key, or by a thermionic modulating-valve G which has its anode connected to the filament of the main valve A and its grid potential varied by a microphone H. When the valve is employed, it is shunted by a condenser F, and a high-resistance shunt J may also be provided to prevent the leak path from being entirely interrupted during modulation. Oscillatory potential may be applied to the grid of the main valve from an external source instead. of a reaction coupling.
