Plug-cocks.-A valve for use with a flow meter comprises a multiple-way plug cock, the plug of which has recesses such as 35, 36, 39, Fig. 5, cooperating with ports 40 - - -46. The plug is pressed home by a spring 53, and is made irreversible by a spring pawl 51 and ratchet teeth 52.
