196,133. Marwood, F. T. Feb. 11, 1922. Golf clubs.-The weight of an aluminium golf club head of the "iron'' type is concentrated directly behind the ball by recessing the head to receive a filling of some heavy metal other than lead. As shown in Fig. 2, the metal filling B is recessed in the face of the club head A and is secured by screws b. Strengthening ribs a' may be provided on the back of the club head. In a modification, Fig. 8, the metal filling is recessed in the back of the club head and is secured by rivets b<1> formed integral with the filling. A sighting device a<4> may be formed on the top of the club head.
