Abstract

Knee - caps; protectors and shields. - A joint-protecting device for personal wear comprises a resilient frame surrounding the joint and a base-plate attached to the frame by means of springs. The device is illustrated in the form of a knee-protector for persons working in a kneeling position, the resilient frame 1 cf steel wire or the like being mounted on a curved spring strip 2 which is in turn attached to a conical spring 3, having a base-plate 4. Another spring 5, mounted on the resilient frame, supports a cover 6 of leather &c. Straps 9 are provided fcr attachment. The interior 8 is padded. A removable pad 11 of soft material is fitted.
