Abstract

476,063. Pads. SIMPSON, G. M. June 30, 1936, No. 18185. [Class 19] [Also in Group VII] A device for absorbing perspiration from the forehead or elsewhere, is formed by an elongated sponge or pad 1 of absorbent material detachably fitted to a narrow stiffening strip 8 which is secured to the forearm by a pair of bands 11, 12 of adjustable length. The strip may be made of semi-rigid material such as aluminium, synthetic resin or celluloid and may be covered with textile material. The bands may be attached to the strip independently of or by the means for securing the pad to the strip or the bands may pass through slots in the strip. The strip 28 may be provided at its ends with small discs 27 around which pass elastic loops 26 on the pad which may be formed by rolling up a piece of flat material.
