Butter spreaders.-In a bread-cutting and butter-spreading machine wherein the buttercontainer is provided with means for churning the butter and feeding it, e.g. by a feed screw with stationary pins interposed between the threads of the screw, the butter-container is water-jacketed, and water at a predetermined temperature is introduced to maintain the butter at the desired consistency.
