Abstract

Cylinders and like elements, rotating; actuating.-To produce shadow effects upon a screen which, in the Figure, is shown as a frosted glass globe a, a semi-transparent coloured cylinder c is mounted to rotate about an electric lamp above which is rotatably supported a framework e carrying silhouettes representing aeroplanes cr other objects to be projected on to the screen. The cylinder c and the framework carry vanes upon which hot-air currents act to rotate the parts in opposite directions. The colouring on the cylinder c may produce on the screen the effect of moving clouds through which the aeroplanes pass. Rotation of the moving elements may be effected by means other than convection currents acting upon vanes. Specifications 162,924 and 178,986 are referred to.
