Fastenings for sliding windows.-A holder or fastening device for sliding window comprises a pair of pivoted levers, one, P, fixed to the sash, and the other having a tooth engaging upwardly inclined teeth on a rack 3 secured to an extension of the frame. A spring between the two parts maintains engagement between the tooth and rack till freed by hand.
