Abstract

193,180. Smith, S. D. Dec. 1. 1921. Mattresses.-In a bedstead comprising a frame 3, a wire mattress 1 and a plurality of spring pressed inclined struts 5 acting on the mattress to give it an initial upward defection, the springs 10 are arranged in pairs inclined to one another, each pair acting on one or a pair of struts, the struts acting on the mattress at a plurality of points disposed across its width and intermediate its side edges. The struts 5 may have both their ends 6 bent upwardly.
