Abstract

17,695. Westley, D. W. Dec. 17. Washing-plungers of the type in which air is trapped within a conical outer vessel and forced through the clothes by means of a valve which closes on the down-stroke and opens on the up-stroke, are constructed with a central tubular inner vessel or chamber B<3> which is open at both ends and is connected to the conical vessel by radial struts B<4> forming partitions. The conical vessel is fitted with a valve B' and with longitudinal and lateral ribs B<1>, B<2> respectively.
