Abstract

17,693. Rider, W. A. Dec. 17. Springs, arrangement of.-A tractor is provided with a set of springs for supporting the driving gear &c., a separate set supporting a frame which supports and draws the trailer and is connected to the main frame by radius-rods or draw-bars having shock-absorbing devices. The tractor is driven from a shaft 27 carried by the rear ends of a frame 4 supported by springs 5 on the rear axle 1. The trailer-supporting frame 10 is carried by springs 9 and is provided with a socket for a depending boss 35 on the trailer. The frame 10 is connected to the main frame by draw-bars 15 having spring cushioning-devices.
