Self-driving plant.- A power plant described as largely self - driving comprises a rotary engine a having fluidpressed radially-sliding vanes c, which discharges by pipes j, k into an engine m of the reciprocating or rotary type, the exhaust from the engine m being returned by a pipe n to the crescent - s hap e d working chamber of the rotary engine. A branch pipe l from the pipe j returns part of the exhaust of the rotary engine direct to the crescent-shaped chamber. Loss of power by leakage or friction is stated to be compensated by a pressure-maintaining device comprising a piston f pressed by suitable means on a fluid medium supplied to a cylinder h connected by a pipe i to the working chamber. A modification with three cylinders a in series is described.
