Abstract
8301. Newman & Sons, W., and New. man, H. G. June 4. Emergency - exit fastenings.- The latch of an emergency-exit door fastening is arranged to be withdrawn independently by either of two bellcrank levers 8, 13. The lever 8 is operated by the arm 10 of the crank bar 11, and the lever 13 by the arm 14 of an outside lift-latch, or by a follower on the spindle of an outside knob. The lever 13 may be locked against operation by the part 18 of the slide 17, which is controlled by a lever 21 and operated by the arm 19 of a cylinder lock 20.
