Nozzles for producing whirling sprays. - In s p r a y - producers in which the liquid is sprayed without the use of steam or air for atomizing the liquid, the liquid is delivered under pressure through tangential passages 5, from whence it passes into a chamber 7 provided with a slotted outlet 12. Owing to the whirling motion given to the liquid by the passages 5, it is discharged in a fan - shaped spray in substantially one plane. In a modification, the slot, instead of being in the side of the nozzle, is at its end.
