Abstract
6436. Long bottom, H. H. April 30. Taps, reamers, and like tools have detachable blades formed to pass into slots in the shank and interlock at d<1>, e<1>, Figs. 9 and 10. The ends d<3>, e<4> span the end of the shank, and the cutters are screwed in place by a wedge f and split-pin g, Fig. 6. The end of the shank may be grooved and flatted to receive the cutters, as shown in Fig. 13.
