Abstract

5294. Lindsay, W. H. April 8. Shafts.-In a self-lubricating bearing of the kind in which oil is raised by a collar d on a shaft c and removed by a roller f in the upper part of the bearing, the collar d consists of four semicircular segments, the joint between the segments 1, 2, Fig. 4, being at right-angles to that between the segments 3, 4. The segments are secured together by spring spilt pins e pushed through tapered holes.
