Self-alining bearings; lubricating.- A bearing for shafts comprises two supporting- sections 1, each of which is pivotally mounted on a semi-spherical projection 3 on the case 4 so as to be self-alining. The cover 6 of the bearing is preferably formed in one piece with the upper brasses 7. The space between the sections 1 is occupied by a lubricating-ring comprising a corrugated spring band 8, Fig. 3, which picks up and distributes the oil contained in the case 4. The bearing may be mounted in a rigid plummer-block, or in one having universal adjustment. In a modification, the sections 1 are rigidly mounted in the case 4.
