2767. Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges. Feb. 21, 1914, [Convention date]. [Addition to 605/09.] Electrodes. - Native manganese dioxide is purified by pulverization, treatment with dilute sulphuric or other acid not decomposing it, washing, and drying. It is then moistened with manganese nitrate solution and compressed, as described in the parent Specification. Impregnation with the nitrate solution and subsequent decomposition by heat may be repeated several times. A carbon terminal member may be placed in the mould with the manganese mixture.
