Compression engines.-An engine with radial cylinders which rotate about a fixed crank-shaft has secured to its crank casing a sleeve D, which surrounds an extension c of the crank-shaft and runs in bearings J, H in a fixed casing F. The crankshaft carries a roller bearing K. Combustible mixture is supplied through a passage p<3> to a chamber E, which opens through ports d into a chamber M having outlet pipes N leading to the cylinders. Packing k<4>, p<7>, f<2>, s prevents leakage between the respective jointing-sufaces shown in the Figure. A shaft for actuating a pump or a magneto may be driven from the sleeve D through gear-wheels u.
