Locking nuts. - The bolt is slotted as shown at 3, and the sides 4 bent outwards slightly, so that when the nut is screwed on, the sides are pressed inwards and thus grip the nut firmly. Further, the nut may he perforated at 6, 6 tn receive a pin which passes through the slot. Specifications 16,678/03 and 21,440/09 are referred to.
