Abstract

475. Williams, E. Jan. 12. Girths. - The dee used in balance girths, for connecting the ends of the girth to the looped straps that secure the girth to the saddle, is provided with an internal T-piece for separating the two looped parts of the straps. The figure shows one end of a girth a attached by a dee C to looped end straps d, e. The cross-bar 2 of the dee is inclined and in one piece with a T-piece 7, 8. The straps d, e are interconnected as shown, and rollers g, h, b are provided.
