Abstract

191,495. Sheridan, R. B. C. Oct. 15, 1921. Light and other radiations, treating diseases with. - An appliance for concentrating sunlight or artificial light on the throat for therapeutic purposes comprises a lens made of quartz or of borosilicate crown glass in order that the ultraviolet rays may be transmitted. The lens is mounted in a hand holder together with one or more screens of similar material, which, when in use, serve to reduce the intensity of the ultraviolet rays which are transmitted, and, when out of use, are folded back into a casing* on the holder.
