Abstract
262,251. Kelly, L. E. L. Nov. 20, 1925. Light and other radiations, treating diseases with.-A portable bath for applying heat, light, or radiant energy to the human body or limbs consists of a number of detachable and interchangeable sections connected by clips E, F, of which the active sections A carry energy-giving elements C, and the inactive sections B act as spacers, and the number and arrangement of the sections may be varied. The active sections A may comprise shallow rectangular frames lined with asbestos and having at the back a double aluminium wall to prevent the escape of heat. The aluminium wall may be arched to reflect the rays. The inactive sections are flat and may be covered on one side with aluminium. The wiring may be arranged in conjunction with plugs and switches so that the bath may be operated from any standard supply voltage.
