Abstract
24,067. Morat, J. Dec. 15. Disk wheels.-In cast-metal wheels, the spokes are of right-angled, T, or unsymmetrical cruciform section, as shown in Figs. 3, 5, and 7, and are forked at their outer ends, where they join on to flanges 5, Fig. 11, on the rim 4. The space between the forked ends of the spokes may be bridged by a partition 6, with an aperture 7 and inclined or not to the plane of the wheel. Additional strengthening-ribs 5", Fig. 14, may be formed on the rim and are preferably arranged in zigzag formation for purposes of casting. The spaces in the felloe between the spokes may be enclosed by wood or metal covers.
