Abstract

Spokes, securing. - The inner ends of spokes 2, Figs. 2 and 4, are held together by keys 5, Figs. 3 and 4, having double-bevelled edges 6 adapted to engage the dovetailed edges 8 of keyways 4 formed in the contiguous faces of the spoke-ends. The keys are rounded at their inner ends and abut on the correspondingly shaped solid part of the spoke left at the inner end of the keyways.
