23.356. Rosa, A. Dec. 10, 1913, [Convention date]. Jackets and covers; tyre attachments to rims.-A tyre cover is formed by folding one or more strips 2, 3, 4, &c. of rubbered canvas around rigid metal rings 1, the edges 2<11>, 3<11>, 4<11>, &c. of the strip or strips being on the outside of the cover. The multiple layers (when used) are further connected by stitching. A leather or like tread band 6 may be secured by studs 7, and a protecting-pad 8 of felt &c. may be fitted on the inside of the cover. Rings 10 for supporting the air-tube are cemented to the edges of the cover, and a canvas lining may be fitted around these and the pad 8. Air spaces 5 are left above the rings 1 as shown.
