22.746. Fawcett, P. W., and Batty, F. Nov. 19. Foundry ladles.-The flow of metal from a ladle is restricted or controlled by a supplementary nozzle c, having a smaller orifice than the primary nozzle f. The nozzle-box a may he pivoted to a depending bracket b and held against the primary nozzle by a bolt c and cotter d, so that the box may be swung clear of the primary nozzle when it is not desired to restrict the flow; the box is held aside by hooks j which engage automatically with the lugs h by which the box is pivoted.
