[Cognate Application, 22,178/14.] Stocks; sights; sighting-accessories; firing- appliances applicable generally. -Relates i;o guns provided with a cranked or set-down stock and a hyposcope for the purpose of shooting from cover, and consists mainly in providing the cranked stock with an auxiliary trigger suitably connected to the main trigger. In the construction shown, the auxiliary stock A carrying the hyposcope K is connected to the ordinary stock R by clamps. The auxiliary trigger D is connected to the main trigger T by a wire E. The stock A is formed with a forwardly-projecting part A<1> and a part B<1>, either of which may be grasped by the left hand. The stock may be hollow to serve as a water bottle or as a receptacle for cartridges or other articles. Instead of projecting downwards, the stock A may project sideways. The tube K of the hyposcope may be graduated and adjustable, the upper reflector being hinged to adjust it for different ranges. A mark may be provided on the lower reflector to serve as a backsight.
