Abstract

19,819. Stanbridge, G. H. Sept. 15. Emergency - exit fastenings.-A. sliding bolt 17 is connected by a lever 21 on an intermediate pivot 18 to a toggle linkage 26, 27 so as to be drawn back when the linkage is straightened by pressure on the plate 29 at the joint. The arms of the intermediate lever 21 engage flared slots in the bolt and toggle. Ribs 21<a>, 21<b> on the lever and casing keep the lever in one plane.
