Abstract

18,196. Matter, J. Dec. 22, 1913, [Convention date]. Feeding and registering webs.-A roller for removing creases from and stretching textile fabrics consists of a number of drums 3 mounted by feathers or the like on ball-shaped or spherical seatings 2, and caused to oscillate or wobble thereon by stationary guides 4, 5, 6, ball bearings 7 being provided. The drums 3 may be attached to the seatings 2 by two pins or screws situated at the axes of oscillation of the drums relative to their seatings 2. The bearings in guides 4, 5, 6 may be provided with drain ports 8, 9, Fig. 2, for lubricant, communicating with a pipe 10 which acts as a stay to maintain the guide 6 in position.
