Fluid speed indicators.-Air is delivered from a circular pump through an inlet 20<d> to a casing 20 comprising a base 20<o>, a wall 20<h>, a central sleeve 20<b>, and a web 20@ connecting the wall and the sleeve, Fig. 5. The inlet from the pump is situated on one side of the web, and an outlet 20<c> on the other side, Fig. 3. Carried by a staff 22, Fig. 4, is an indicating- member having the form of an inverted cup 21 and adapted to surround the wall 20<a>. Mounted inside the cup is a weh 23 held normally against a stop 20<f> by a spiral spring 27. The incoming air escapes over the edge 20<h> of the wall 20<a>, which is irregularly cut down to correspond with the required graduations. In a modification, the member giving the variable opening is secured to the floor of the port 20, the wall 20<a> being uniform in height. The whole may be surrounded by a dust-proof casing:
