512. Bain, W. P. C. Jan. 8. Wire fencing, securing to standards.-The fence wires are secured to standards and droppers of rail or other convenient section by a curved sheet of metal b which is notched to receive the wires and is secured to the flanged face of the standard to lock the wires in position by one or more twisted wires e or by similar means. The sheet b may extend the whole length of the post and may be wide enough to overlap the edges of the standard or, in the case of angle-iron section, to extend inside the faces of the standard.
