Adjustably supporting endless-chain elevators. -The elevator chains pass over sprocket-wheels 19 carried at the upper end of a crane-like frame revoluble about a vertical axis. The lower ends of the chains pass around sprockets in a boot 23. The depending part of the elevator is adjusted by passing the chains over sprockets mounted on a carriage 28 running on the inclined boom 14. The carriage is adjusted by a cable 33 passing around a drum 34 and connected to a counterweight 32.
