Shoots.-In apparatus in which concrete or other material is brought along a cable way in skips II and discharged into a hopper D suspended from the cable and delivering to a shoot B, the hopper is carried by one arm of a frame E pivoted to a carriage or pulley F running on the cable, and the other arm of the frame E carries a pulley or slider G engaging the cable so as to balance the hopper without a counterweight. In the form shown, the frame E is forked to receive the trolly J which carries the skip H. In a modification, the hopper is formed integrally with the frame at a position below the skip. The hopper delivers through a chamber C, which can turn about a vertical axis, to a shoot B which is adjustable on the chamber C about a horizontal axis.
