29,424. Yarrow, H. E. Dec. 20. Screw propellers.- The boss of a propeller is surrounded by a closed hollow shell attached to the blades and forming a false boss. The shell c is secured by screws to the boss b and blades b<1> as shown. In addition, an extension g is also attached by screws j to the boss, a hand-hole with cover-plate g<1> being provided for access to the screws.
