Abstract
26,289. Coma, C. Dec. 4. Screw propellers.-A number of screw propellers or blades arranged on a boss are so disposed with respect to each other that they are close together and overlap as shown in Fig. 1. It is stated that by this arrangement the water is acted upon by successive blades without producing whirls. A cone 10 may be mounted forward of the propeller and provided with blades 11, whether the propeller is placed forward or aft of the ship or aerial machine.
