Jet apparatus.-For aerating and agitating liquids, such as wort, during fermentation, a head b mounted in ball bearings at the end of a supply-pipe c and carrying two or more tubular arms a is immersed in the liquid and supplied with air or other gas from a compressed-gas reservoir. The other ends of the arms a, which form the outlets for the gas, are directed rearwardly and downwardly so that the issuing gas causes rotation of the arms, and agitation of the sediment at the bottom of the vessel. The device is suspended from a cord g or from a carrier resting on rails.
