Overhead incandescent lamps.-A casing 38, preferably conical or pyramidal, encloses the vapour burner and is provided with outlets 39 for combustion products and an opening 43 through which liquid fuel is supplied to the inturned lower end 42 and ignited for preheating purposes. The liquidfuel supply pipe 41' supporting the lamp is sufficiently long to prevent overheating of the reservoir 36<1>.
